What's the difference between the hardware?

Rainbow, rose gold, black hardware & special colours:

  • Recommended for small dogs only (or dogs who are light pullers)
  • Can lose colour over time
  • Must be cleaned, dried off and used lightly
  • Made of zinc alloy, rust-resistant & functional.
  • Will rust over time if frequently exposed to water & moisture
  • A great fashion statement

Brass hardware:

  • Holds up well against the elements
  • Will tarnish over time if frequently exposed to water and moisture. The tarnish is a patina that forms and is a natural tarnish that forms on the surface of brass and other metals. Natural patina usually occurs over an extended period of time, and some folks really love the look and purposely try to speed up the look of it to 'age' the brass through a chemical process
  • If you don't like the look of patina, brass can be polished to restore shine.
  • A classic look

Silver hardware:

  • Made of zinc alloy
  • Rust-resistant & functional
  • More lightweight than brass and stainless steel
  • Most popular
  • Will rust over time if frequently exposed to water & moisture
  • Requires to be dried off
  • A classic look

Stainless steel

  • The most durable of the hardware
  • is rust-proof but eventually does rust over a longer period of time than zinc alloy
  • Costs more money compared to other hardware
